These
Zippos feature Reddy Kilowatt. He's a stick figure made of lightning
bolts, with a light bulb for a nose and wall outlets for ears. His hands and
feet are insulated, and instead of hair, he has a smaller pair of twin lightning
bolts. He first appeared on power company advertising in 1926 and was used as a
mascot by hundreds of electrical utility companies. He first appeared on
the Zippo in the early 1950's.
