In 1892, Joel Cheek presented his own blend of coffee to the management of the Maxwell House Hotel in Nashville, Tennessee. Soon the coffee became known as Maxwell House™ coffee. Years later President Theodore Roosevelt visited the hotel and declared the coffee 'good to the last drop'.
